February 2007 To all my Auxiliary Sisters, I want you all to know we are doing well, but it could be much better if more of you would come to meetings and to all the special functions that we have. We are having a Department State Meeting when our Department President and all her officers will be at our post. It would be nice if you would come to meet them. This meeting will be on March 15 at 7:30 PM. Try to be here. Then on April 18 we are going to host a forum for the National President at our post. This is a great honor for us and it would be nice to see many of you there. This is the third year we have hosted the National President’s visit and we all feel honored to be chosen to do this. Please try to be at the Post to meet her. Remember our elections will be coming up soon so think of who you want to be your leaders and come down to vote for them. Well, I guess that’s all for now. Come to our meetings and ask questions. I hope you all know our meetings are on the third Monday of the month. Mark your calendar and then you won’t miss it. I hope you are all keeping warm during this cold spell. Remember if you know of anyone that is sick, let us know so we can send cards. So long for now,

January 2007 To all my Auxiliary sisters, I hope that you had a good holiday season. I also hope that you are all in good health. If there is anyone sick, I hope someone in the family will call to let us know. We are a hard working Auxiliary and I hope you realize this. We are still collecting Campbell labels for the VFW National Home. We also collect tabs from cans and Box Tops for Education. If you have any, drop them off at the post after 6 at night and just put my name on them and they will be given to me. We also need clothes to bring to the VA Hospital for our Veterans that are homeless. We also need bingo prizes for February 11. Everything is so expensive. If everyone would donate at least 1 prize it would be a big help. The funds we make at the bingo help us in all our programs. I hope you all understand because National VFW Auxiliary sets everything for all the Auxiliaries. We go to the VA Hospital once a month and that also costs money for the bingo and pastry we serve them. We also bring men's clothes so that the men that need them can have them. My husband and I went Christmas morning to the VA Hospital and with Department we gave a big distribution to the men in bed. They all appreciated everything that was done for them. I hope some of you can start coming to meetings. Well I guess that's it for now. I hope you are all in good health. In Friendship, |
